Social media networks mobilized for support of Iraqi refugee resettlement and advocacy

On Thursday, June 10th, during Intersections first Annual Intersector Awards Celebration guests were invited to help mobilize their social media networks to support Iraqi Refugees. Eight years after the end of major combat in Iraq, the world’s largest urban refugee crisis has left more than 5 million people displaced from a country whose once-secular identity has all but eroded into violent sectarian strife.

Intersections encouraged all twitter users, who support urgent action to improve the lives of  these refugees by opening doors for permanent resettlement all over the world, to tweet a  message at 8:30 p.m. EST. Here are a few highlights from last night's Tweets:
